The Bothy Experience

The Bothy Experience, home of the award winning Gin Bothy is a 4-star Visit Scotland attraction nestled in the historic village of Glamis in Angus, minutes from Glamis Castle.  The Experience like a bothy is free to explore, our Bothy Beginnings room takes you through our Gin Bothy journey while our Bothy Tales room tells the story of Scottish Bothies.

Our Bothy Larder shop has locally sourced food, drinks, and carefully selected gifts, as well as takeaway hot and cold drinks and treats from Bothy Bakery.  Purchases can be made in store (dependent on current COVID restrictions) or online at www.ginbothy.co.uk. We currently offer free local hand-delivery to Forfar and Kirriemuir postcodes as well as posted UK mainland on orders over £20.  We pride ourselves on sharing the best artisan produce from the local area, including our own range of award-winning spirits and liqueurs. We follow Scotland’s fruit calendar and use foraged botanicals & fruit to create our products, which we hand-bottle, hand-batch and hand-label in our wee bothy in the Angus Glens.  Our ambitions for 2021 are to reopen and look at collaborative opportunities that can benefit more than just our business!

We have recently launched Hipflask Spirits, a new, exciting brand which gives us another arm to our portfolio, and we look forwarded to increasing the range at  the Bothy Larder and the Bothy Bakery offer to encourage visitors to try the wonderful food and drink our area has to offer.
