Arbroath based, Smithies is a family run coffee shop, delicatessen, cheesemonger & drinks emporium. When the pandemic hit and the business had to close, they revised their strategy offering home deliveries of deli platters and gin hampers. The coffee shop remains closed but space has been used to create a shop local space featuring a wide array of festive gift and present ideas.
Patti Smith, owner, Smithies, said: “Christmas is going to be very different for so many this year so we wanted to really help create as much festive spirit and have gone all out decorating the shop inside and out. Customer who would normally come in for a cheese platter are now able to pick up a wide selection of gifts at the same time, in a relaxed environment. We’re also offering private shopping slots – a great opportunity to shop at ease to browse our stock & pre-order hampers for 45 minutes with your household or bubble.”
