Arbroath based, Smithies is a family run coffee shop, delicatessen, cheesemonger & drinks emporium. When the pandemic hit and business had to close, they revised their strategy offering home deliveries of deli platters and gin hampers.
Now into a second lockdown, Smithies are allowed remain open this time to provide locals with fresh produce and locally made refreshments.
Patti Smith, owner, Smithies, said: “After closing our doors during the last lockdown, we’re delighted to stay open and continue to supply customers with cheese, takeaway and a range of drinks, all while ensuring restrictions are adhered to. During the festive period, we saw an increase in footfall due to people choosing to shop local. We hope this continues in 2021.”
